Inktober Day 9

Hey guys,

The prompt for today was “broken.” I thought about this and thought about shattered glass and broken mirrors at first. However with time I decided that the word broken was something I could relate to. I had different ideas as to what my future may hold. After a few events those pathways to the future seemed to have shattered.

As a result I drew a person in the middle of broken pathways. I edited this a little bit too so that I could show the darkness that surrounds you when you think everything is broken and gone. Nonetheless there is a light on the person in the middle. This is to show that you can come through obstacles that life throws at you. All you need is faith in yourself. You will figure out what to do.

Let me know what you think about today’s prompt.

Inktober Day 8

Hey guys,

The prompt of the day was “rock.” As a kid I used to collect lots of rocks. I had my own rock collection. I am still really fascinated by them :). I always dreamed that I would be an archaeologist. I liked reading mythical stories and ancient history. I really adore them. So in memory of this I drew an archaeologist finding an amazingly special rock in the depths of a cave. I used a little editing here to make the cave look dark :P.

I hope you like it. Feel free to comment what your dream was growing up :). I look forward to reading them :).

Inktober Day 7

Hey guys,

The prompt for this day was “lost.”

I chose to draw something with more of a message than by previous drawings. I drew the lost courage a bystander has when watching someone else get bullied. The absence of one of the girls mouths shows that she cannot speak against what is happening to the girl the is being bullied.

It is always a good idea to speak up and stop bullying. Bullying causes so many upsetting events to both the person being bullied and the loved ones around them.

Please always look out for each other. This way we can all try to make a difference.

Be kind and strong! 😀

Inktober Day 6

Hey guys,

The prompt for this day was “hidden.” Trying to separate from the previous day’s “sad” prompt I drew two bunnies playing hide and seek. One bunny is hiding while the other one seeks.

Let me know your hiding spot when you played hide and seek. Also can you find the hidden bunny?

What did you think about when you heard the word hidden?

Inktober Day 5

Hey guys,

I had a lot of difficulty drawing a picture for the prompt “sad.” It took me a while but here it is.

As I sit Fall now and the trees are losing their leaves it feels a little sad. The weather is getting colder and all I want to do is sleep. Fall is a colourful season for sure but it is also sad that it’s cold and the trees look as though they are dead/dying.

Let me know how you feel about fall and maybe what you drew for Day 5 of Inktober.

Inktober Day 4

Hey guys,

Here is my Inktober drawing for day four. The prompt was hungry. I really related to this because I am currently doing a religious event and we cannot eat meat during this time. I dont know why but being vegetarian makes me so hungry all the time! I have been carrying around different types crackers as snacks all around school XD.

Hope you like it! Let me know what you drew or what you thought of when you saw the word “Hungry.”

Inktober Day Three

Hey guys,

Here is my day three of Inktober drawing. I have realized drawing in ink can be difficult and that having a specific prompt to draw for is hard but nonetheless has helped me to get more creative with my drawings.

For today’s prompt, collect, I decided to show that you can collect many things from sea shells to memories. Memories are one of the most important things that one can collect. They help us remember events that are important to us.

Here two children are collecting shells but they are also collecting the memories associated with collecting these shells.

I look forward to what you may draw for this prompt :).

Inktober Day Two

Hey guys,

Here is my day two Inktober picture. When I thought about the prompt “noisy” I was thinking about what noisy meant. Usually we think noisy of a sound that is annoying or irritating but what about good noise. Noise like our music, because at the end of the day it is a loud sound that is put to a beat.

Thus my kind of noisy is what I decided to draw for day two :).

I hope you like it and maybe try to draw something yourself. I know I am not a great artist but that shouldn’t stop anyone from using their creativity and imagination to create a thoughtful and meaningful picture.

Let me know what you decided to draw 🙂

Inktober Day One

Hey guys,

Here is my Inktober Day one drawing. The prompt was “Fast.” When I saw the word fast i thought cars. So I tried to draw a car at first but it was a bit weirdly shaped :P. After a little bit of thinking I thought it might be a good idea to turn it into a hover car shaped like a space ship XD. Then using some of my other pens I gave the drawing some colour :).

Hope you like it! Try to draw a picture of own using the prompt “Fast” too. Let me know what you draw! 🙂

It’s been a long time XD

Hey guys,

I realized that I haven’t posted at all since the beginning of my summer semester. I am really sorry about that! Still trying to balance my work and extracurriculars, it’s a work in progress.

In hopes of starting to post more frequently (and maybe even regularly if I am motivated enough XD) I am going to start doing Inktober :). I recently found this while I was scrolling through the artists I follow on Instagram and think it’s an awesome way to encourage drawing and creativity.

I researched this social media event and I found out that there are prompts that you can follow for each day of October. I think this is an amazing way to be creative about what you are drawing. I usually draw a lot of animated characters but I think that with these prompts I am driven to draw other objects. Also since I usually draw in pencil and erase my drawings many times using ink will allow me to go along with my “mistakes” and maybe draw something that may end up being more awesome than my initial idea (again fostering my creativity).

I hope that maybe you guys will join Inktober and draw something so that you can have a daily dose of creativity too!

Will be posting my first Inktober piece soon! Hope you like it!
